OBAMA, STEALTHILY, ADMITS U.S. ROLE IN IRAN COUP
It seems the new U.S. President’s strategy is finally starting to reveal itself. In short, the new strategy can be summarized as the following. Mr. Obama makes use of charm and warmth of his personal character – liked and understood by people worldwide – making sweet academic speeches about politics, history and religion.
At the same time and in a parallel fashion, the actual U.S. policy makers and multinationals including the AIPAC group, which serve Western interests, embark on a hidden yet aggressive campaign against other countries’ political establishments somehow keeping the flow of funds, goods and resources under their strict control.
The new U.S. government strategy in fact shows marked changes compared with the purist, upfront handling of affairs under the former U.S. President G. W. Bush. For instance, in his yesterday’s speech in Cairo, Mr. Obama talked about the killings of Bosnian Moslems by the Serbs, calling it ‘genocide’, while U.S. warplanes in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq, fly over villages and towns dropping their bombs on kids playing football and women cooking meals in their kitchens.
In his historic Cairo speech, Barack Obama also made comments on America’s turbulent history with Iran. He now becomes the first U.S. President who officially and publicly admits America’s role in the 1953 coup in Iran, “In the middle of the Cold War, the United States played a role in the overthrow of a democratically elected Iranian government,” Obama admitted, referring to the CIA’s role in the coup against Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddeq after he nationalized the Iranian oil industry.
Iran has always maintained the fact that the U.S. and British governments were behind a coup d’etat in 1953. In addition, both the U.S. and British governments provided massive financial and material assistance to Saddam Hussein during the eight years of Iran-Iraq war. Western governments ensured a control over Middle Eastern oil by creating instability and chaos in the region.
On July 3,1988, a U.S. warship fired a missile at a civilian passenger airplane flying from Iran to UAE, killing 290 passengers onboard. U.S. Admiral, Crowe, was later rewarded and labelled as a war hero by Ronald Regan.
In conclusion, as we listen to Obama making nice speeches about these issues on television, we must at the same time expect more aggressive moves to be made by his administration’s other side.
